Macomb Township The GTEV
Edelweiss will celebrate their 1. Trachtenfest on Sunday, August 21st, at
the Austrian Park on 56200 Hayes in Macomb Township. We have transformed our
annual Waldfest into a Trachtenfest, so everybody can show off their German
outfits. This is a call to everybody to get their Tracht, Dirndl and
Lederhosen out of the mothballs and show them off, to make this Trachtenfest
a success.
The fun will start at noon, when our busy kitchen staff will start serving
our famous pork roast and Knödel dinner. Bratwurst and Knackwurst with all
the trimmings will be served throughout the day. Local and imported beer
will taste great under the trees, with our Bavarian fare.
Our Trachtengruppen will entertain you with our beautiful Bavarian
Volkstänze and Schuhplattler and the Sorgenbrecher Band will play for
everybody who brought their dancing shoes.
The Park will be open from noon until 9 PM. Donation will be $ 3.00 per
person, children under 16 are free. So come and join us for an afternoon of
Bavarian Gaudi and Gemütlichkeit and show off your Tracht and Lederhosen. We
will be sure to make you feel welcome.
