Teutonia Club of Windsor:  Oktoberfest Celebration

Teutonia Club of Windsor Schuhplattler

Windsor On Saturday Sept. 29 and Sunday Sept. 30. Teutonia Club in Windsor packed their halls full and showed our community how the German's celebrate Oktoberfest.

With the beer a flowing, music playing, people dancing, the food overflowing from their plates everyone enjoyed our Oktoberfest.

Our own Teutonia Youth Group with three different dance groups ranging from age four to mid twenties performed with such enthusiasm it got the whole crowd going and some even participating. Even our friends Victoria's Belly-dancers honored us with performance. Victoria even lured our President up for some Belly dancing, with the crowd a cheering Arno Erdmann graciously tried but says he still prefers our German traditional dance!

We certainly want all our volunteers to receive a heartfelt thank you for once again showing all of Windsor, Essex County and our US friends how our German Teutonia Club's members pulled together working countless hours to organize and orchestrate to all a well thought out and organized festival.

Hat's off to all who participated and attended Oktoberfest 2007!

The Teutonia Youth Group has put together Kirchweihfest and Halloween together and created a Haunted Harvestfest on Oct. 27, 2007. This is a first time event that sounds like lots of fun for all ages. Come in costume or not to enjoy a Harvest feast with traditional Kirchweih dancing later mixing in our Haunted friends of Halloween. Young or old dress up and participate in our haunted event. Call Annette at (519) 969.1974 or Teutonia Club for tickets.

Our annual Christmas Bazaar on Nov. 17th and 18th. This year Santa will be there. We will be selling Cabbage Rolls, Chicken Pot Pies, Strudels and Pretzels so call your order in early at Teutonia club to make sure your order is ready when you arrive. Lots of vendors to start your Christmas shopping early!!

And, of course, no better way then to start the New Year by celebrating with your German friends. Guaranteed to entice your taste buds with our scrumptious cuisine and entertainment. Book your Party early to ensure seating. Large parties welcome.
