Karneval Season Closes at Germania

Brownstown - Germania Club in Brownstown had a great Karneval season this year. We got the season off to a flying start on November the 11, 2006. The season will end with a Masquerade Ball on January 27, 2007. Sorgenbrecher will provide the music for the party. Our new chef, Bert Hudson, will be preparing a special menu for the evening. The menu will include knackwurst, weisswurst, hot German potato salad, sauerkraut and a selection he wants to keep secret until the Ball. Kathy Baganz our Kitchen Manager, will be supplying a fine selection of desserts and Bar Manager, Walter Bayko, will provide his usual great selection of spirits and fine German beers. Activities for the evening will include a parade of the Karneval Societies followed by the burial of Prince Karneval, who has had a very busy time presiding over the Karneval festivities since November. Later in the evening, a raffle will be held and there will be a judging of the costumes. Prizes will be given for the best costumes. Of course there will be dancing, good conversation and a lot of fun. The Karneval Society and all the folks at Germania invite you to come and join us for an evening of good food, good fun and Gemütlichkeit. Our Karneval Opening Ceremony will take place on November 10, 2007; we invite you to join us then for more fun and excitement.
