Sterling Heights The Dirndl Ball
was a tremendous success! On Saturday, January 20, 2007, Carpathia Hall was
filled with beautiful dirndls ranging in many different colors and
varieties. The Carpathia Jugendgruppe and Kulturgruppe entertained the
crowd. Music was performed by the Rheinlanders, who kept attendees
entertained on the dance floor the entire night.
One special event of the evening was the parade of dirndls. Three
experienced judges chose their top five choices for prettiest dirndl. Coming
in first place was the Jugendgruppe Princess, Debbie Kapraun, second went to
Rosie Steiner, third chosen was Bianca Schwager, fourth was a tie between
Bianca Bering and Vicki Schwager, dressed in matching dirndls.
A
special thank you goes to Adam Medel for coordinating this event. Thank you
to everyone who worked the event, including the ladies in the kitchen and
our judges. Hope to see you all at the Trachtenfest scheduled for this time
period next year.
Hunters Banquet

Saturday, March 10
Plan to join us at Carpathia for the Hunters' Banquet on Saturday, March 10,
2007. Enjoy an evening of dinner and dancing to the band, Enzian, with your
choice of classic or wild game entrees: Venison, Wild Boar, or Schnitzel.
Tickets are $18 for members and $20 for guests.
