German-American Friendship Club in Venice

Pictured from left to right: Siegfried Pahl, V.P. of the Venice Club, Sonja Pahl, Director in charge of reservations, Ruth Speer, V.P. Germania Club Downriver Brownstown Michigan, Mary Krueger also a member of Germania, Irmgard Gierl from the Bay of Quinte, Canada and Vern Speer, Ass't. Treasurer, Germania Club.

Englewood Snowbirds from Michigan and Canada were enjoying the Gemütlichkeit at the Schlachtfest" held January 21st at the German-American Friendship Club in Venice, Florida. The Stimmung" and music was great as we renewed friendships of previous seasons and danced well into the night. Friends Harry and Terry Fisher, members of the club, keep us informed of all events and reserve seats for us at their table.

Also schunkeln" at our table were spouses Henry Krueger and John Gierl. As we say in German, Zusammen feiert man immer besser", and we look forward to the next event, the Fasching Dance on February 18th.

We wish all of our friends up North a mild" winter until we meet again.

Ruth Speer
